Stories over the weekend claimed that the Spanish giants were preparing a &pound;7m raid for the Czech Republic star.

But the defender’s agent has insisted that the summer signing will still be wearing the Viola shirt next term.

"Tomas is currently on holiday in his homeland and we have not been in talks with Real Madrid," Paska Pavel told the fiorentina.it website.

"Stories circulating regarding a &pound;7m move are pure journalistic invention, we are aware of no talks.

"I can say with certainty that Tomas Ujfalusi will still be playing for Fiorentina in Serie A next season."

The 27-year-old, who impressed at Euro 2004 with his country, was signed by the Tuscan outfit from Hamburg in July.</P>
