<TD vAlign=top width=280>Luca Toni has responded to Diego Della Valle’s talk of immoral attitudes by claiming the players mustn’t pay for the club’s Calciopoli mistakes.

>The striker has made his intention to leave Fiorentina this summer very clear, as a move to Inter has been lined up, but in this morning’s ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ patron Della Valle insisted he was going nowhere.

>“Toni will stay where he is. That is absolutely my last word on the matter,” said the Viola owner. “People in football cannot consider everything up for grabs and live outside of principles or morality.”

>The response did not take long, as the World Cup winning forward was interviewed by Punto Radio this afternoon to point out Della Valle – punished for his part in the Calciopoli scandal, which saw Fiorentina docked 19 points and stripped of the opportunity to play in the Champions League – was in no position to throw stones.

“Let’s leave ethics aside from this debate, shall we?” Toni told the radio station. “I may have a contract, but it’s not right that my teammates and I should be forced into fighting what will be a terrible campaign, chasing a difficult chance to remain in Serie A after having worked so hard to earn ourselves a Champions League spot.”

The club was originally relegated into Serie B after the first verdict in the match-fixing trial, but the appeal returned them to the top flight, albeit starting the 2006-07 season with a 19-point penalty.

“The players cannot pay the price for the errors of our directors involved in Calciopoli. This whole situation should make the club understand that certain mistakes must be paid for without taking it out on the squad.”

“在这场争论中我们先把道德放在一边，好吗？”托尼对电台说，“我是有合同在身，但是要强迫我和我的队友们面对如此困难的形势——我们要如此的努力才有可能留在意甲，更别说是冠军杯了，这是不对的。”
俱乐部在一审判决曾一度降入意乙，但在二审中又回到了顶级竞争，不过新赛季被罚掉了19分。
“球员不应该为决策层在电话门中犯下的错误买单。整个形势应该让俱乐部认识到，这个错误不应该让球员承担。”托尼最后表示。

>我一直觉得,球队比球星重要!TONI去年做的很好,不是一般的好!!这点应该值得大家肯定!但是他现在这样闹很没人性!对他去年的表现,我是主张40M以上敲诈国米的!如果没人拿25M买TONI的话,我觉得可以跟他对着干,放二队,看他还怎么嚣张!
