<TD vAlign=top width=280>Massimo Moratti has blamed Fiorentina patron Diego Della Valle for ruining Luca Toni's move to Inter, but believes no further reinforcements are necessary.

>The lengthy negotiations with the World Cup winner were made more complicated because of Moratti’s difficult relationship with Viola President Diego Della Valle and Toni eventually announced on Tuesday that he was staying at the Stadio Franchi.

>“I considered it a difficult operation, mainly because I had to find an agreement with a person who has always been against me,” said Moratti. “In the end we chose to follow another road, I am sorry for Toni but we had no other choice.”

>The oil tycoon believes that Hernan Crespo’s return to the Nerazzurri side was intended to be a sign for Fiorentina.

“I trust we clearly showed the Viola club our intentions, making them aware that Toni was not the only name on our wish list.”

Moratti is convinced that with the Argentinean striker’s arrival, Inter are now a fully competitive side and he does not foresee any other transfers, at least for the time being.

“Now we want to enjoy the arrival of Crespo, who is a player we love. At the moment I don’t feel we are involved in a race with Milan for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Later on we will see what happens.”

Moratti then denied rumours suggesting that Manchester United were ready to place a £42m offer for Adriano.

“The current list of Inter players should be considered the final team for the new season,” said the Nerazzurri patron, who also failed to mention Obafemi Martin’s alleged switch to Liverpool.
