New Parma chief Lorenzo Sanz reportedly intends to re-call Sebastien Frey to
the Tardini once his Fiorentina loan comes to an end.

The Spaniard, who is close to completing his take-over of the club, has hopes
of leading the outfit back into Europe and sees Frey as a key figure.

The goalkeeper only joined the Viola in the summer, but could be forced to
return to the side who own him at the end of the present season.

However, Parma sporting director Oreste Cinquini insists that no decisions
have been made regarding the 25-year-old.

"It is too soon to talk about our plans for the future," he stated. "We will
obviously take into consideration a variety of factors."

The former Inter and Verona player is widely regarded as one of Italy’s top
custodians at this present time.

The Frenchman did his reputation no harm at the weekend when he was the star
performer in the 1-0 loss at Inter.

Parma have also been linked with a move for Valencia striker Marco Di Vaio
during the January transfer window.

The Italian international could be tempted by a return to Parma given his
success there between 1999 and 2002.
